The Larson Group recently held a formal groundbreaking ceremony at its Cincinnati location to mark the first phase of construction.
The Larson Group Peterbilt (TLG), a Peterbilt dealership with 21 facilities from the Kansas-Missouri border to the Atlantic Ocean, recently broke ground on its Cincinnati dealership facility in a formal ceremony. The ceremony marked the beginning of construction for extensive updates and additions, which is slated to be completed by the fall of 2020.
Though TLG’s Peterbilt of Cincinnati location will be expanded by more than 47,000 square feet, customers will be able to enjoy the dealership’s existing layout with the benefit of more streamlined service flow and more industry-leading amenities—all with the same award-winning customer service TLG is known for. The project’s new additions, including offices, the service department, and parts showroom and warehouse, will be designed and built by Cincinnati Commercial Contracting.
“Revamping Peterbilt of Cincinnati to be state-of-the-art just makes sense for ensuring that our customers continue to be successful and our employees have a first-class facility to call home,” said General Manager Brad McDonald. “We’re thrilled to be able to represent customers, employees and the Peterbilt brand with a high-tech facility and better serve everyone in Cincinnati and the surrounding areas.”
Office Space, a Showroom, and Plenty of Natural Light to Go Around
The Cincinnati-area Peterbilt dealership’s first phase of construction will focus on a new 27,858 square foot office space that is slated to be completed in early 2020. In addition to serving as modern office space for current and future team members, the building will be a welcoming center for customers. The customer-facing portions of the building will feature casual seating and an open sales area as well as an extensive parts showroom for merchandise and displays. Intended to be a more welcoming and comfortable environment for walk-ins, the new space will also feature plenty of clerestory windows to maximize natural light.
A Best-in-Class Service Building
Throughout 2020, construction will continue on the Cincinnati dealership’s upgraded Peterbilt service zone and will add nearly 20,000 square feet of space to the campus. It will receive 20 new service bays, bringing the total number of bays to 28. Of that total, two bays will be set up to serve CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles. Technicians and management staff will also have access to an all-new tool and parts warehouse, which will ensure the resources drivers need to get back on the road are always just a few steps away. The service section will also be expanded to include a top-notch driver break room and lounge, as well as additional office space.
The dealership and its service building will remain open during its regular hours while construction is underway.
