Raleigh Salesman, Little League Team To Honor Family Of Fallen Pilot

Peterbilt of Raleigh salesman Jim Moynihan's Clayton Little League is organizing a fundraiser for the family of a recently killed North Carolina pilot.

CLAYTON, N.C. – The Clayton Little League team has organized a fundraiser to honor the recent fallen first responder and veteran Jeff Burke. Playing a role in the event is Peterbilt of Raleigh's Jim Moynihan.

The dealership's salesman is the president of the organization and knew the pilot personally, as Burke's son, Jason, has played in the league for the last two years.

Jim told CBS News that Burke was a father who loved to watch his son play.

"We feel helpless," Jim said. "So, this is our small effort to try to help them feel a little bit better and maybe take a little bit of the gloom out of the day."

On Saturday (Oct. 28) the first annual Fall Ball Classic will honor Burke. It will be held at Clayton Community Park. The event starts at 8:45 a.m.

Clayton Little League will be facing off against Garner Little League. There will be a 50/50 raffle and the league said all proceeds will go to the Burke family.
